We’re committed to providing the best possible learning experience for aspiring UX professionals. That’s why we’re delighted to announce some major updates to our flagship course, the Professional Diploma in UX Design.
These improvements are designed to give you a deeper, richer and more career-focused education in UX design—one that sets you apart in a competitive industry.
Here’s what’s new, why we’ve made these updates and what it means for you as a student.
What’s new: elevating your learning experience
One-to-one mentoring
All students will be matched with a one-to-one mentor. Your mentor will have over 10 years of experience working in UX and will provide you with guidance and support throughout the course. This includes feedback on your projects and your UX portfolio, plus insights into life as a UX professional. This dedicated mentorship will ensure you have the support you need to navigate the course and your new career.
New and updated content
The course content has been completely refreshed. New examples, case studies and insights from the UX industry have been added to keep the curriculum current and relevant.
Expanded curriculum
With 15 comprehensive modules, the course now offers a broader and deeper dive into UX design, giving you an unparalleled learning experience.
Enhanced Figma tutorials
Updated with the latest UI3 developments, our new, hands-on Figma tutorials will help you master this essential design tool.
Latest AI developments
We’ve updated the course to include the most recent advancements in AI technology and how they impact the UX field.
Enhanced portfolio guidance
The course now includes expert advice from senior hiring managers to help you create a standout portfolio that showcases your skills and projects to employers
Curated job application and interview prep
New career resources will guide you through every step of your job search, from crafting strong applications to preparing for interviews and tackling design tasks with confidence.
Monthly masterclasses
Participate in live, interactive masterclasses led by UX industry experts. Topics include how to land your first job, getting started with Figma and how to create a world-class portfolio.
Additional university credits
Reflecting our expanded curriculum and upgraded student experience, students will now earn more university credits upon completing the course.
What’s still great: what you can always count on
Career coaching
Our expert career guidance team provides personalised coaching to get you career-ready, including how to identify your transferable skills, how to craft your portfolio, CV creation and interview strategies.
Real-world projects
Learn-by-doing is a fundamental principle of the course. You’ll reinforce your learning and build your practical skills through a series of hands-on, real-world projects.
Stand-out portfolio
A key outcome of the course is your professional portfolio. It will showcase your new skills and knowledge, and demonstrate your job-readiness
Tutor feedback and support
Our dedicated in-house tutors are available daily to answer your course-related queries and provide encouragement to keep you on track.
Industry-approved curriculum
Designed by UX professionals, our curriculum is reviewed and approved by industry leaders from companies like Google, HubSpot, Meta, LinkedIn and Dell.
Why our course is more meaningful
Unlike other courses, we don’t hand out meaningless ‘certificates of completion’. You have to earn your qualification by passing a two-part assessment.
Graded projects
You’ll need to complete and submit 8 mandatory projects in order to receive your certification. All projects will be assessed and graded (with feedback) by our tutors, with your scores contributing to your final grade.
Online exam
At the end of the course, you’ll take an online exam to demonstrate how well you have absorbed the course curriculum. The exam is multiple-choice. And your score also contributes to your final grade.
A real qualification
After your hard work is finished, you will be awarded a Professional Diploma in UX Design, jointly issued by the UX Design Institute and Glasgow Caledonian University.
Why credit-rating is so important
When you’re investing in your education, choosing a credit-rated course is vital. Why? Because credit-rating ensures the course meets independent quality standards, like a “health inspection” for education. Our courses are credit-rated by Glasgow Caledonian University, part of the UK’s higher education establishment. This means:
- Each course has been independently reviewed by educational experts
- It meets specific standards of quality assurance
- It includes all the tools, resources and processes necessary for students to be successful
- It is accepted, valued and trusted by employers everywhere
What it means for you
With these updates, the Professional Diploma in UX Design is now more robust, career-focused and industry-focused than ever. You’ll graduate with the skills, portfolio and confidence to thrive in the competitive UX industry—backed by a qualification that employers respect and value.
We’re excited to support your journey to becoming a skilled UX designer. Let’s design your future together.
